Married since late 2018, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas welcomed their first baby girl into the world on January 15, 2022 via surrogate.
They kept this all a secret from the world, making everyone shocked when they saw Nick and Priyanka’s Instagram post where the couple confirmed the fact that they had a child.
“I think it’s pretty crazy that, at this point, all of the Jonas Brothers are grown and married, and now, all of them have kids. Nick especially has always been the more spontaneous one, and I never expected him to have a kid,” junior Emily Speter said.

Fans catch "baby fever" for the new Jonas addition.
Prior to their announcement, Nick and Priyanka were known for making jokes and teasing the public about having kids. During the "Jonas Brothers Family Roast," Priyanka Chopra took to the stage to roast the brothers. She included a joke where she mentioned that they were “expecting,” and Nick Jonas responded with a surprised face. Chopra goes on to say that they were expecting “to get drunk tonight and sleep in tomorrow!”
“Honestly, I think they are an adorable couple, and their humor towards this subject is spot on. They were almost predicting the future. I think they are going to make great parents,” sophomore Isabella Gomes said.
“I think they will be good loving parents, and he can sing annoying Jonas Brothers songs to their baby,” seventh grader Bella Bodenhorn said.
Even though the name of their child is still unknown, many are excited to see what awaits for this new family.
“Although I’m not a fan of Priyanka Chopra due to her questionable past, I’m happy that they are continuing a new step in their life. I’ve always been a fan of Nick Jonas and glad that he is enjoying his life,” senior Faiza Ahmed said.
Many people have different opinions about Priyanka going with the surrogacy route, but feel as though it is completely up to her on how she wants to become a mother.
“I love the fact they decided to give birth through surrogate to help normalize how many women and families out there don’t have to take the typical route for giving birth. It does take a certain amount of wealth to be able to have a baby through surrogate though; but, nonetheless, I’m happy for them,” sophomore Guneet Hanjra said.
