Greg's Goodbye

By Gregory Marzano

I can’t believe this year is coming to an end already, it flew by so quickly. Thank you so much to all of you for working endlessly to put the paper together for each issue and for all the late nights in student activities we had. I’m so glad to have the opportunity to get to know all of you and can’t wait to see what all of you will do in your futures.

Rachel H: UR FIRED. Even though I had no clue who you were until this year, I’m so glad you joined the staff this year. Layout would not have been the same without you. Even though I would not stop joking about yearbook all year, I’m so glad you were able to balance both publications. Thank you for all your help and for always staying until the very end of late night working in whatever other section or writing a last minute editorial. I can’t wait to see what you and Tina accomplish next year for the paper. HAGS

Tina: I’ll keep saying it over and over, Sports works too fast! I’m so glad you and Lauren worked so well together. There wasn’t a more solid section than Sports and you guys were always on top of the deadlines. Sorry we usually pushed Sports to the end initially, but I think Hannah and I got better at working on sports quicker. I can’t wait to see what you and Rachel are able to do with the paper next year. HAGS

Lauren: From all the laughs about random and crazy headlines, to all the extra work you do, you made a huge impact this year. Thank you for always being there and doing the random things I ask you to do, from teacher superlative captions to sports awards lists. I can’t believe we got to sneak pictures of your car into the paper somehow and exposed your trunk. I can’t believe high school is over, but we’ll be relatively close at college so I can’t wait to visit you. HAGS

Ivie: It’s incredible how you balance running track every single season and the paper all while doing everything else you do in your busy life. Thank you for always getting your stuff done even if you don’t happen to make it to layout. I’m so glad you joined the staff this year and can’t wait to see what you do in college. HAGS

Divya: Your experience was greatly appreciated this year and helped News run very smoothly. Thank you for all your hard work towards News and for always working diligently. Good luck in your future and I know you will be extremely successful in your future. HAGS

Rachel P: You and Julia are the best. Even though it’s always one or the other at layout at one given time, Entertainment always steps up to the plate. You two work so well together and I’m so glad you are such a strong team. I’m so glad to have worked with you and thank you for all your knowledge on the newest shows and music. HAGS

Julia: Thank you for bringing your bubbly personality into 219 and Student Activities. Thank you for working so well with Rachel P. in Entertainment and always having the answers to our questions about the musical or the play. Keep up the good work in Entertainment and I hope you have a blast next year. HAGS

Christina: Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to The Chariot. I appreciate the enthusiasm you bring to layout. I know you will do great things next year and hope you are able to mentor the new editors next year. They will learn greatly from you and I know you will be a great influence on them. HAGS

Kaitlyn: Thank you for bringing all your ideas to the table. You always strived to greatness in your section and always asked questions, even if I responded with um, and didn't answer your question until the second or third time you had to ask. I know you will work well with the staff next year and know you will be a great influence to them. HAGS

Grace: You have been a great writer since you started even writing for the paper. Thank you for all you contribute for article ideas and always being in-touch with the school and world news. I wish you the best during college and know you will be successful in the future. HAGS

Deb: I am so grateful for your efficiency and how quickly you send out reminds and make the instagram posts. Thank you for the last minute art you've made for us and I can't wait to see what art you make next year. HAGS

Artists: Your art has been so beautiful this year. Without all of you, the paper would be no where near as enticing or engaging as it is now. It lights up the website and really helps make the issue come to life. I hope all of you work continue to indulge in art, and hope you bring it with you far into your futures. Thank you so much for all you do, even under stressful deadlines. HAGS

Photographers: Your photos are so vivid and lively. Thank you for capturing all the special moments that happen all around our school and for capturing the memories of all the athletes. Your pictures look so professional and the paper would not be the same without them. Thank you for running around all the time to get all the photos of the people we needed and communicating with them. HAGS

Staff Writers: I know you are all joined the staff very recently, but you all rose to the occasion and were always there when we needed articles covered. You are all fantastic writers and I'm so glad we were able to incorporate you into our staff. Good luck next year, I know you all will do amazing things for the paper. Keep writings! HAGS

Ms. Mannle: I can't believe after being in your 10th grade class, here I am working with you and Hannah and the rest of the staff. I am beyond grateful that I was asked to write for the paper and was asked to be an editor, let alone be an editor-in-chief. I loved spending all the late nights with you, laughing over headlines and listening to "crazy" music that I've never heard of. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little scared at the whole start of my journey working on the paper, but I'm so glad you we're there every step of the way, especially for all the little questions I repeatedly as every single issue, even though I asked you the same thing just a few weeks before. I'm going to miss you so much and will forever be grate for the impact you had on my entire high school career. I can't wait to come back and visit. HAGS

Hannah, the LESSESSER Editor-in-Chief: It’s crazy how we’ve gone through elementary school and high school together and now we’re going to the same college too. We went from being track teammates to co-editors-in-chief. Working on The Chariot with you these past two years has been amazing and it’s awesome to see what we were able to accomplish. Cannot believe you missed the luncheon. I'm going to miss all the late nights and hitting you with the "little" bit of sass. I never stopped throwing you under the bus these last two years. I'm so glad we were able to work together so effectively and efficiently, and we always covered what the other couldn't cover. I'm going to miss this, but can't wait to see what is in store for our futures. HAGS HAGS HAGS
